Trinity
Artistry in Aluminum and Steel
Trinity Yachts, founded in 1988, quickly established itself as one of the premier luxury yacht builders in the United States. Based on the Gulf Coast with facilities in New Orleans, Louisiana, and later in Gulfport, Mississippi, Trinity emerged from the foundations of the commercial and military shipyard Halter Marine. Founders John Dane III and Billy Smith, along with investor Felix Sabates, leveraged their expertise to create Trinity Yachts, focusing on high-quality custom aluminum and steel yachts for a global clientele.

Trinity's ability to adapt to challenges solidified its reputation. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina severely impacted the shipyard’s New Orleans site, but Trinity quickly set up operations in Gulfport, where it continued its production. Over the years, Trinity delivered some of the world’s most recognized superyachts, including the 73-meter New Horizon, the 58-meter Unbridled, and the 74-meter Cocoa Bean. Each yacht reflected Trinity's commitment to American craftsmanship, sleek design, and robust performance, often designed by in-house naval architects in collaboration with prestigious interior designers
In 2015, Trinity was acquired by Harvey Gulf International Marine, marking a shift away from new yacht builds to focus on offshore vessels. However, Trinity's legacy continues to impact the luxury yacht industry, with its fleet of custom yachts celebrated for their elegance and structural integrity. Known for their spacious layouts and advanced engineering, Trinity’s vessels remain highly sought after on the brokerage market, showcasing the enduring appeal of this influential American shipyard
